This article is called "WWWQ", but in the text it just talks about something called "Q 100.5". I'm dying to know which it is really about! Thanks. :) -- Oliver P. 08:34, 16 Mar 2004 (UTC)

What is it about??

[edit]

It should be about a radio station whose call letters are WWWQ. Are you interested in how to expand it?? Go to the Discuss this page part of the List of radio stations in Georgia (U.S. state) article. User 66.32.110.151

Thanks for the reply. I wouldn't know how to expand it myself, but I'm just pointing out the peculiarity that the name given in the title is different from the name given in the article body. How is the station actually referred to in real life? That should be the article title (see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (common names)), and it, together with any common alternative names, should be introduced (and highlighted in bold - see Wikipedia:Manual of Style) in the opening line of the article. Hope that helps... -- Oliver P. 02:28, 27 Mar 2004 (UTC)
If you want this one changed you would also have to change almost every single other radio station here, they're almost all titled the same way, by their call sign. For instance, WVWA (FM), WVFJ-FM, WTSH-FM, WJSP-FM and even TV stations : WXGA-TV Paul Barkley 20:18, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

DJs and Former DJs

[edit]

Whomever keeps reverting my edits, please do not do it again.

The "DJs and Former DJs" sections have been deleted, several times now, per "Wikipedia is not a Directory." If you are going to allow these sections to be present on this article, then you are going against your own established policy and need to allow "DJs and Former DJs" to be listed on EVERY radio station's article on Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.67.94.238 (talk) 21:40, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Those people are notable. It isn't a directory. - Rjd0060 22:51, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please justify the notability. Otherwise, I intend to bring this page to the attention of Administrators for protection.--InDeBiz1 (talk) 03:03, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, but if you're going to do that then be sure to take care of reporting all the other radio-oriented articles that do the same thing first: WKLS, WBGG-FM, WHTQ, WHTZ, WMCA, WXRK, etc. RadioBoy2003 (talk) 03:37, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Official WWWQ/WNNX Call Sign Swap on 29 January 2008

[edit]

The call signs for WWWQ and WNNX were mutually swapped by the owner and appear on the official FCC web site on 29 January 2008 (referenced). I move the admin revert to the edit on Revision as of 21:05, 29 January 2008 since the Wiki article tracks the WWWQ call sign.

You're right, but you can't just swap the content of two articles. That's called a cut-and-paste move, outlined here: WP:CPMV. The correct method is to have admins move the pages entirely, so as to preserve the edit histories of both articles. I put in the request - you can re-add the content that you added once the moves are finished. -- ChrisB (talk) 22:08, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Q100Atlanta.png

[edit]

Image:Q100Atlanta.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
