List Cruft Issues?

[edit]

While examples make some sense, would it make sense to reduce the list of examples to perhaps a half-dozen varied examples rather than the rather lengthy list on the site now?

Phillips Exeter Academy students also participate in a "midnight scream" the night before the last day of the term. Not sure where to add this fact. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:196:180:9510:40E:68D8:5BA7:CB77 (talk) 03:20, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

SOE URL in cites

[edit]

I found the following URL in the cites for Yale's tradition. pandeypriya dot com Is this a legitimate link or calling card, or is it someone leveraging Wikipedia to promote this website to Google? Because if it's the latter, I'd very much like to destroy it with prejudice. I'll leave it to wiser heads to determine. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.241.230.151 (talk) 22:40, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

On further examination, this edit, and two other edits, both occurred on the same day by user 117.196.239.150. The other two .. Heck with it. It looks suspicious, I'm going to trim two of the three. They don't appear relevant, but rather attempts to game Google. The third might actually be germane, so I'm leaving it. 104.241.230.151 (talk) 22:55, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
