Emmy Awards

[edit]

The text currently reads "Also known for his television roles, De Niro portrayed Bernie Madoff in the HBO film The Wizard of Lies (2017), earning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie nomination." But the official Emmy site[1], as well as the Wikipedia page for this award [2], report this as only a nomination, not a win. Nachruf (talk) 18:17, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just going to highlight your text above, without removing/adding a thing. See what you missed there?
(It occurrs more often than we think, when we're skimming too fast. But at least you've got an eagle eye on the hunt!)----Cinemaniac86TalkStalk 18:55, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're right. It was less about skimming than it was about "nomination" being a bit stranded after the lengthy category title. Thanks for the correction. Perhaps it would be easier to parse as "earning a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie"?

No problemo. & Definitely. I prefer that wording—much better. --Cinemaniac86TalkStalk 08:49, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The article states: Related to this, he called former President Trump a “bafoon” and highlighted concerns Trump could become a “vicious dictator”.

The word bafoon is misspelled. It should be buffoon. 205.208.32.225 (talk) 15:15, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
