Town of PV?

[edit]

Is the incorporated name Paradise Valley or Town of Paradise Valley? If it's the latter, should the page be changed to reflect that?

POV?

[edit]

This page seems a bit resentful towards the Paradise Valley Village in Phoenix. Yes, they have the same name. No, they didn't "steal" it. The "area" of Paradise Valley existed long before the town incorporated, and it always included parts of what is now Phoenix.

I don't find it resentful. Fact is fact. The Town of Paradise Valley is incorporated. The area known as Paradise Valley is Phoenix. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.169.32.75 (talk) 01:39, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's not resentful, it's factually incorrect. You repeatedly use the words "their name" or "its name" to refer to things that are in Paradise Valley Village and not Paradise Valley. You at one point say something to the affect that Paradise Valley Mall is not in Paradise Valley but in Phoenix, several miles to the north of the town which bears its name (paraphrasing). The name the mall is using is fairly obviously that of the Village that it is within and has nothing to do with the town. As the person above noted, both the town and the Phoenix village are referring to a geographical area, so your comments are not "fact". Rather than "resentful" as the person above noted, I'd call it "arrogant" and it is probably a result of classism. It should be changed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.180.2.248 (talk) 18:09, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Map

[edit]

The article is so confusing to those who don't know the difference between Paradise Valley and the Village, a map is required for assistance. Abenr (talk) 15:15, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
