Location Pudukkottai Town is a district head quarters and a part of state TamilNadu(Integral part of India) , southern state of Indian Peninsula. It is located near the coastal area of Bay of Bengal. Population The population according to 1986:- 100,000. Area Weather The town is pretty warm throughout the year. Summer(April,May, June) and Winter(November, December, January) are the major months that have distinct changes in temperature. Mostly 25-30°C

Rainfall:- Average.

History. Pudukkottai is a princely state. It has lot of cultural treasures associated with it. Around the town there are number of places that depicts the ancient Dravidian architecture with statues and stone carvings Chittannavasal. This place is very famous for its cave paintings and Jain stone beds. It has been identified that this paintings belong to Pallava regime. The beauty of paintings are enormous that they have used natural dyes

Pudukkottai is also known as Navasalapuri. People Native Indians. Most of them speak Tamil. One can manage with English. People belong to all major religions(Hindus, Muslims, Christians) live together. Historical Temples
