Huntington/Chas. TV market

[edit]

I was thinking about adding some stuff about the foci of the local TV news teams in our area (WSAZ-centrist, focus on Huntington, wins in ratings; WCHS-right of center, Chas. focused; WOWK-the whole WV focused thing, getting thumped in the raitings) and I wanted to get some of your imput on this mini project. Cheers. Youngamerican 03:45, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, there! I have .png files for state routes 1 through 9999. I know, 4000-8999 aren't used-yet, but still! I wrote a .php script that just generated them all. So, if you'd like to start working on the articles, I can upload the .pngs. Let me know ;-). Thanks for the help, too!! >: Roby Wayne Talk 00:23, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

West Virginia as the U.S. Collaboration of the Week

[edit]

Hey FPAtl, I recently nominated the West Virginia main article to be a candidate for the US Collaboration of the Week. As you're probably well-aware, the article is in need of a lot of help and being the US Collaboration of the Week could improve it immensely. Please consider voting for West Virginia, as I know you've contributed frequently to articles dealing with West Virginia. Thanks! --Caponer 21:44, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for bracketing!

[edit]

Thanks for bracketing the 2006 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Championship. I was wondering if you could help out on a year-by-year history of the NCAA Women's D-I Basketball Championship. I set up a template for a year-by-year review of each event. Let me know ASAP and tell other Wikipeaians, okay? THanks in advance. NoseNuggets 4:26 PM US EST Mar 16 2006.

Image Tagging Image:KenDoane.jpg

[edit]
Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:KenDoane.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Hetar 05:01, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ROH championship defenses

[edit]

Nice idea, but I think the date and place the new champ beat the old champ should be included on the page. Tromboneguy0186 10:54, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

Hi, thanks for contributing to Ken Griffey, Jr.. But, on Wikipedia we try very hard to use free images whenever possible, that is, images that can be freely modified and redistributed. Copyrighted images don't really meet this criteria, so it's frowned upon to replace a free image with a copyrighted one, as you did. It's no biggie, and it's a non-obvious thing, so don't take this the wrong way. For more information you can see Wikipedia:Copyright. Thanks. --W.marsh 23:34, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Very nice. Its clean and jpg! I'm working on one too that doesn't have a black or white background. Its a little bigger than that one but just let me know what you think. I'll be done with it in a few more minutes. -3bulletproof16 22:20, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Here it is [1]. I just took the background from the travel packages advertisement, erased the MOTOR CITY part, and dropped the WWE logo down a bit. -3bulletproof16 00:40, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:NSYNC.jpg)

[edit]
Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:NSYNC.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 21:57, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WWE TV Rating

[edit]

Hey. I noticed you've done a lot of work towards the WWE TV ratings. I was just wondering where you got the information from. I'm not accusing you of false information, I'm just curious. Also, if you're looking for a site that has more TV ratings may I recommend you check out the Wrestling Information Archive if you're interested in doing some of the ratings for WCW, ECW, TNA etc. and some more WWE of course! Oh, here's a Barnstar for your hard work. Normy132 02:04, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Appalachian Power Park Opening Day.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Appalachian Power Park Opening Day.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Your list IS valuable

[edit]

The list you created is/was up for deletion. I want you to know there is a place for it: http://wikitistics.com . No one will be able to nominate it for deletion because it fits one simple rule: it's a statistic, list, or figure. Good luck with your endeavors! Joe 16:08, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The List of WCW World Heavyweight Champions by age is what I was referring to. I noticed you were the first to post on it. My apologies if that was incorrect. Cheers Joe 17:09, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:BarbieBlank-Kelly.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BarbieBlank-Kelly.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thanks for your hard work on updating the article. This highlanders team looks to be the best team in the history of WV boys b-ball. Gotta check out a game this year if you get the chance. Cheers. youngamerican (ahoy-hoy) 15:28, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't hear them announced that match, and it's not on wwe.com, so what is your source? TJ Spyke 02:46, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kane/Umaga, I don't recall hearing them announce that on TV and it's not on the WWE website. TJ Spyke 02:52, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I don't always pay attention during those rundowns. TJ Spyke 02:55, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
