Why are some alphatetized by their first name, and some by their last name? 131.96.14.17 20:01, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Why is there no way to delete specious/questionable inclusions in this "category?" Without a way to reverse damage, this page will only become more corrupted and eventually useles...172.136.190.131 01:32, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Gender

[edit]

Why is that most of the oldest people at least that I have seen have been females? Are the Y chromosome deadly keeping us from being that old? J. C.

On average, women live for about four years longer than men do. Hence the vast majority of supercentenarians are women. Jim Michael (talk) 10:37, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality

[edit]

No need for divisive 'subcategories.' Some people lived in two or three countries. → R Young {yakłtalk} 01:11, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it makes it easier to browse Category:Supercentenarians if it is divided into categories by nationality. Ryūlóng 02:30, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, it makes it much more difficult to find anyone. Gene Nygaard 08:06, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mythological and legendary figures included?

[edit]

I don't believe this category (and all sub-categories) should include fictional, mythological or legendary characters, actual historical persons only. Editor2020, Talk 00:26, 21 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
