Notable People

[edit]

This section has evolved into a lengthy list of names. Should this list contain only people born in Huntington Beach and/or currently residing in Huntington Beach? It's questionable if a person simply attended high school in Huntington should be included in this list and should be removed. I would also propose that people who used to live in Huntington Beach but no longer live there should be removed. Alternatively, this could be separated into a List of people from Huntington Beach page.

I haven't received any feedback so I created a page to help clean this one up.

Nice job cleaning up the article. Thanks. Now like barnacles on the boats in harbor, we have to keep it from growing back. Fettlemap (talk) 23:27, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Huntington Beach" or "Huntington Beach, California"

[edit]

The article title is currently Huntington Beach, California, with Huntington Beach a redirect. Is there any reason to not just use "Huntington Beach" as the article title? --Usernameunique (talk) 07:35, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Barring a major city in the US, the syntax used is City, State. Expandinglight5 (talk) 20:13, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Makes sense, thanks Expandinglight5. I see now that this is the convention per WP:Naming conventions (geographic names)#United States. --Usernameunique (talk) 06:30, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
