Change name = New team??
[edit]I gave the Rats a founded date of 1993, but they previously skated in the same market as the CD Isles. That lineage is mentioned twice in the current revision (I hope someone will come along and give us a better History write up). Does that suffice? I would like to give the CD Isles their own page after I make it through the current teams. ccwaters 23:28, 12 July 2005 (UTC)
- You put the date the original team was founded, in this case it's 1990. When teams move, it doesn't change the date they were founded, just changes the location and/or name. If it's still the same franchise, then it's still the same founding date. Bsroiaadn 09:09, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Notable NHL'ers?
[edit]didn't anyone who went on to a notable nhl career ever play for them, and doesn't that deserve mention? i think that should be a feature of all minor league team articles in all sports.Toyokuni3 (talk) 21:03, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

Rude-E the first EVIL mascot in the history of professional spo
[edit]Rude-E was the first evil mascot in the history of professional sports. Despite poor on ice performances during the early 2000s, James I. Chapman created the first “evil” mascot in the history of professional sports, “Rude-E” in 2002. The Albany River Rats now had 2 team mascots, the original, fun loving, kind, omnipotently cheerful ROWDY and the terrible, fan harassing, team hating Rude-E. 2603:7081:2F03:96C8:84DA:1C04:29F2:F423 (talk) 21:10, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
