Hello fellow Wikipedians,

Vadodara (Gujarati pronunciation: [ʋəˈɽodəɾɑː]; formerly known as Baroda) is the third largest

  1. Removal of reference

The reference is removed, as the authenticity can be found from the "Gujarat" pagr

city in the Indian state of Gujarat.

  1. Added inline citation {httpsdodara Municip}al Corporation"

https://vmc.gov.in/ The city is known for the Lakshmi Vilas Palace, the residence of Baroda State's Maratha royal family, the Gaekwads, of the Gaekwad Dynasty. It is also the home of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.

Removal of unsourced material

[edit]

The first paragraph seems completely unsubstantiated. As such, a request is made to add the missing sources or remove the unsourced material. 171.77.136.237 (talk) 16:05, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Population

[edit]

The population figure is completely misrepresented for no apparent reason. Statistics from the Census of 2011 and 2001 are inflated and the latest estimates of the city's own municipal body are completely ignored to put up wrong information. Corrective edits made with source and backing are manually reversed without explanation. Not just on this page but on the list of cities and list of million plus agglomerations, the same figure for the city and surrounding area is falsely cited without any sources. If the source is correctly analysed, it shows a much lower figure but factual information seems to be unpalatable to the editors' agenda. 116.72.52.220 (talk) 09:04, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Population

[edit]

Population is wrongly mentioned Kanvarlal (talk) 07:44, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

look at Vadodara and Surat in map , Vadodara seems more bigger than Surat and having a so small population than Surat completely wrong data Kanvarlal (talk) 07:45, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Population

[edit]

This point may be a sensitive topic, but being a local residents knows more about vadodara. As of now there are more than 4.3 million aadhaar card issued in my city so it is more know to me rather than any sourced data Tarsali (talk) 18:18, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Remove picture of "downtown Vadodara"

[edit]

A picture of the district court 'Nyay Mandir' was replaced by a picture captioned 'Downtown Vadodara' in this edit. However, the picture depicts a road in a residential area which is not close to the center of the city. So I'd like to understand how the 'downtown' determination has been made and revert to the previous picture if necessary.

@Pixelnow made the change, input appreciated Teritaal (talk) 10:40, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
