Oberon is a character appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, created by Jack Kirby. He is the diminutive manager of Mister Miracle, and named after the legendary fairy king Oberon.[1]

Fictional character biography

[edit]

Oberon was orphaned as a child after his family died in a fire. Subsequently, he worked at a circus under an abusive ringmaster before meeting Thaddeus Brown, the first Mister Miracle, and becoming his assistant. After Brown is killed by an operative of Intergang, Oberon works with his successor, the New God Scott Free.[2]

When Miracle joins Justice League International, Oberon becomes Maxwell Lord's assistant.[3][4][5] He also attended Green Arrow and Black Canary's wedding and Blue Beetle's funeral.[6][7][8][9][10]

In Mister Miracle (vol. 4), Free discovers that Oberon died from cancer some time prior.[11][12]
