Proposed name change[edit]

If anyone is reading this (not sure that many people would choose to put this page on their watchlist; if I get no response, I'll put a note on the San Francisco, California talk page too: It seems to me that we should regularize the S.F. neighborhood names in Wikipedia. The convention for neighborhood articles in other cities is generally "Neighborhood name, City name." We have a few S.F. neighborhood articles like that, but many more with parantheses (not an intuitive way to search for the article). I don't necessarily think it's important to add the city name to articles without "San Francisco" now attached to the name (for example, keep it as The Castro rather than the bulky and not-needed-to-be disambiguated "The Castro, San Francisco"), but I do think it's a good idea to standardize those that now have the city's name in the title by putting "San Francisco" after a comma rather than in parantheses. That sounds like a good idea. Go for it!--Yuje 21:58, August 3, 2005 (UTC)
