"Feuding between the RCMP and the then-newly organized Canadian Security Intelligence Service marred the investigation from the beginning. CSIS staff members erased documents, withdrew surveillance of a key figure in the alleged conspiracy hours before the bombs were set and did not tell the RCMP, according to government investigative reports disclosed last year." In 2000 a former secret services officer told the Toronto Globe and Mail newspaper he had destroyed the 150 hours of tapes rather than hand them over to the Mounties, because he feared the identity of informants would be revealed. This article is more explicit on the weakness of the witness. I have to say that CSIS are horribly useless. [2]

Is Canadian Aviation Safety Board the correct government agency name? I googled it but found nothing that was a convincing match. SD6-Agent 20:44, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Nevermind. I found out the CASB is the former name of the current Transportation Safety Board of Canada. SD6-Agent 20:52, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Since this article is basically transcribed word for word here, would it be alright if this became a redirect, or is it still too soon? Tobb 06:25, Apr 4, 2005 (UTC)
