To make absolutely sure you notice my response, I will repost it here:

Excuse me? I simply tagged the article for speedy deletion under WP:CSD#G1...I surely don't think that's nonsense. I would take another look at the page's history, as I don't really care to have warnings on my talk page for things I didn't do.Keakealani 22:46, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Premiership_Logo.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Premiership_Logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Your revert summary was cut off to "Don't really th", so I'm enquiring as to what the reasoning behind it was.

With trying to bring the article up to GA status, I'm trying to get rid of all the potentially NPOV and un-encyclopaedic comments such as "whilst plying their trade", "triumphed over", "lowest ebb" "after this setback", "Unfortunately for them" and removing elements from the pre-amble that are not really notable.

Also the revert re-linked some disambiguation pages and re-introduced elements covered in sub-articles. So I'm interested in the reason.

Any assistance you can provide in improving the article is also welcome. - Foxhill 17:39, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looking back at the article I think I was certainly a bit hasty in undoing your edit completely. I just saw that there were a few punctuation mistakes and wrongly thought that the edit was of no benefit to the article. I will reinstate your new version straight away (plus a few apostrophes!), because as a keen follower of STFC and the Wikipedia articles on the club I appreciate the significant amount of hard work you have put into greatly improving the articles. Please accept my apologies. I-hunter 18:51, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for participating in the Football AID vote this week.

Birmingham City F.C. has been selected as this week's collaboration. Please do help in working to improve it.

Hi. I'm sorry to bother you, but as a Wikiproject Grammar member, I just wondered if you would be willing to have a look through the Sheerness article. It is currently a Featured Article Candidate and needs a copy-edit for grammar by someone who hasn't yet seen it. Any other ways to improve the article would also be welcome. Thank you very much, if you can. Epbr123 23:40, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Notes From A Big Country.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Notes From A Big Country.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 16:06, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are invited to the first ever Reading Wiki Meetup which will take place at Copa, 76-78 Kings Road, Reading, RG1 3BJ on Sunday 23 September 2012 from 1.00 pm.

I hope as many people as possible will be able to attend so that we can make this a regular event. If you have never been to one, this is an opportunity to meet other Wikipedians in an informal atmosphere for Wiki and non-Wiki related chat and for beer or food if you like. Experienced and new contributors are all welcome. This event is definitely not restricted just to discussion of Berkshire related topics. Bring your laptop if you like and use the free Wifi or just bring yourself. Even better, bring a friend! Click the link for full details. Looking forward to seeing you.
